The coalition councilors Gent of Dénia-Centre Unificat, Miguel Llobell and Pepa Font, urged the local government to negotiate with the Conselleria the stoppage of the works of the Plan Confianza during the months of July and August in Dénia, something that the government team does not consider.
That is why Pepa Font has proposed to the government team to move to the Conselleria "to negotiate the stoppage of the works during the summer, and not only for those of the Calla La Mar, but also for Archduke Carlos, since the heavy machinery traffic will affect both the mentioned square and the Avd. of Alicante".
On the other hand, Miguel Llobell affirms that he sees no reason for the works not to be paralyzed during the months of July and August, enabling a central passage of vehicles or pedestrians.
The councilors indicate that "If the works begin in May and have an execution period of three months, they can be finished before the end of the year, six months before the Generalitat's aid expires. But of course, if the works are extended they cannot be inaugurated before the elections, and a good photograph is more important than worrying about Dénia's neighbors who will close their business ".
