Unemployment data for the month of February in Denia reveal that a total of 61 people left the unemployment lists during the shortest month of the year After the increase of unemployed that left us the month of January, which places the current number of unemployed in the capital of the Marina Alta in 4.425 people.

According to the CCOO "The increase in unemployment in January had left the workforce under minimum, which together with the prolongation of good weather during the month of February has caught off guard businessmen accustomed to short-termism who have been forced to reinforce the workforce to attend to the demand in the services sector ".

Precisely this sector has been the one that has incorporated more staff in the region during this month, although at a high price according to the union, which denounces that it is a question of employment "seasonal, precarious and with significant presence of fraud, abuse or submerged economy".

In total, the Marina Alta has finished February with a decrease of 229 people in the lists of the Servef, placing the total number of unemployed in the 33 municipalities that conform it in 14.007 people, which means a decrease of 1.544 unemployed with respect to the same Month of the previous year, when the figure was placed in 15.551 people.
