«The impacts of the PP and GD in the port: a 'nau' enfonsada and the attempt to commercialize the public space»

31 March 2023 - 08: 58

When it is trying to commercialize the public space, neither the Popular Party nor Gent of Dénia semblen tindre massa objections to any project. The recent political history of Dénia does not bear witness to the successive attempts of these two parties to sell to the highest bidder public land and, both, de pas, part of the essence of our city.

Ben, on the contrary, when you are trying to pose at the disposal of the public, the eixe mateix space, with public services, educational or green infrastructures, do not take two seconds to pose accordingly, as in the cold weather, to rebut with both excuses pilgrims the initiatives of the current municipal government.

Hui mateix hem hagut to arrive in press that PP i GD opposes the construction of the new Integral Center for Professional Training 'Gent de Mar' in the port, specifically in the Raset area, in some land cedits per la mateixa Generalitat (ja that they are owned by Ports), al· elegant that the building will have a non-desitjable visual impact on the seafront.

The maritime façana mateixa with the pentapartit in which the more PP and GD are going to donate, among some others and with a defector, proposed to build a shopping center; the mateixa façana marítima on the sorgit government of the motion of censorship planned to build an auditorium 30 meters high.

And exactly the mateixes sigles, GD and PP, who are going to order the design of another shopping center in the quarry of Dénia castle. Aleshores l'impacte, about a BIC (Bé d'Interés Cultural), will not be a question to consider...

Another coincidence of all these "great" bomber ideas is that they are going to cost public money, and many, bad bargains in the writing of projects and exhibitions that serve to sell only the smoke of unviable Pharaonic works.

And with the electoral campaign, these airs of grandeur seem to be revived, so that they always have at the disposal of the private initiative the public sun and that, therefore, the citizens will pay for life: see the example of the great parking in height that has presented Also this week the Partit Popular. Let's be clear, ladies and gentlemen of PP: it will be a private parking, paid; built on some land qualified as a green area that the city will lose.

The 'Gent de Mar' institute is a project, included in the Generalitat Building Plan for the modernization of educational infrastructures, very necessary for Dénia, which broadens the training offer and from a perspective totally linked to the territory (s 'here will impart, among some others, the cycles of the maritime-fishing family), to guarantee feina to our young people and human resources to the economic activities that are our motor.

Honestly, I think that the impact that PP and GD see in this project is really that of the loss of other public lands that deliver to the private business for the Dénia fer a huge area of leisure without futur i sense planning cap respecte per la seua essència.

I have studied for five years in the FP built in the Castillo quarry. It was the worst place to build an educational center, high humidity and falling stones. Don't our youth deserve to study in a center located in an incredibly beautiful place? It is public land and it is for that.

The truth is that the level of fallacies that are exposed as ideas or as criticism of these ideas is worrying.
The antipathy that politicians have towards each other is perceived more than any type of talent when presenting a project or idea.
No type of building on the seafront is going to be attractive to DÉNIA. It is neither necessary nor environmentally sound.
Neither institute nor Nau. If climate change is true, in a few years the waves will hit its walls.
Why not consult the public about these projects outside the political circle? Do the citizens agree 100% with everything he says. The parties they vote for? I do not think so. We are not that stupid.
That kind of thing should be submitted to a popular citizen consultation.

    • Pink says:

Beware of the citizen consultations that ask you for a cinema, a Fallas Center and another discotheque. It's like asking a child who wants to eat cakes or lentils.

Here I totally agree. That's what they started doing years ago all together. While some fill their pockets, it gives them as much as if Denia is sinking.

    Well, a Theater-Auditorium is needed.
We cannot be with a Social Center being a tourist city.
And what better place than the port to put it.
I would call it the “Mare Nostrum” Theatre-Auditorium.
So it coincides with the historical-cultural offer that the port offers.
    I really need

    • Luis says:

And why don't we put it inside Balearia? So those "so cultural" tourists can entertain themselves while they wait for the ferry that takes them to see "more culture" in Ses Illes.
