In an even second quarter, the visitors improved significantly offensively, forcing us to maintain the tone if they did not want to be overwhelmed. The effort was worth it to maintain the advantage, reaching the break eleven points ahead of our rivals.
The visitor's insistence, however, ended up paying off. Those from Dénia lost their defensive order and made mistakes in their attacks so that in just four minutes of the third period they caught up with us, maintaining equality from that moment until practically the end of the clash. Unlike other parties, on this occasion, they knew how to right the course and, little by little, regained control of the game.
Thus they were able to face the final stretch of the match with confidence and at the decisive moment hit the mark from the perimeter to achieve a reassuring advantage that they squeezed until the final horn sounded.
