The socialist councilor Cristina mulberry unveiled yesterday that the city council has received by registration the resolution of the Generalitat Valenciana of 30-12-2013 in which "The project for the rehabilitation of the Roques neighborhood begins to be finalized by administrative means."
According to the councilor, this resolution "it was taken as treated in the monitoring commission last October" and regretted that "No one from the government team has said anything about the Department's refusal to continue with this project."
4 years ago, in February of 2010, Pepa Font announced the start of redevelopment works on the streets of the Les Roques neighborhood divided into two phases: the first phase that would be financed by contributions from the Ministry of Housing, the Department of Urban Development and the City of Dénia, as it was agreed in 2007, that contemplated the redevelopment of the avenue of the Cid, San Francisco, Santíssima Trinitat, Nou, Sant Antoni, Sant Narcís, Sard, Sant Pasqual and Sant Cristòfol; and a second phase that would be financed with municipal funds that would include the pedestrianization of most of the neighborhood, with Santíssima Trinitat street and Avenida del Cid as the only roadway.
Cristina Morera reported that "All they have done is spend more than one million euros on the redevelopment of the walls round, precisely a street that is outside the neighborhood".
