The port of Dénia is changing. The remodeling of the city's seafront will begin shortly and, if everything goes according to plan, in March we can enjoy a new walk between the area where the Bullring is located in the month of July and the Moll del Martell, in the old station of Baleària.
It will be a ride that will improve mobility, designed for the enjoyment of people, which will highlight an imposing figure: Portal del Vent, the sculpture that the artist Teo San José has designed to give to the city with the collaboration of Varadero Port Dénia.
Teo San José, sculptor, painter, poet and art therapist, feels «especialmente motivado y emocionado» for all that is generating this monumental work structure eight meters high with whom to honor sailboats, wind and harbor.
Portal del Vent

Initially it raised as a structure of four meters high that the artist wanted to give to the city. At that time, with the creation of the Association of the Port of Dénia, they contacted him to entrust the creation of an iconic sculpture in the harbor. Varadero Port Denia collaborated with the artist, allowing that initial sculpture became the great structure that we will see from March in the port: eight-meter steel bright red to focus the attention of passersby port of Denia. And all this joins the remodeling of the port, a concatenation of events that have made before birth, Portal del Vent either something emblematic.
This is a subtle, light and asymmetrical sculpture, which vary depending on the place where it looks. A work that also vary throughout the year depending on the light that comes, and throughout the day present «momentos de absoluto esplendor»According to the author himself.
