The Orfeó de Dénia participated last weekend in the choral meeting "1000 voices for AFEPVI" which was held in the indoor bullring of Villena within the circuit of choir meetings promoted by the Valencian Choir Federation (FECOCOVA).
To prepare this meeting, a week before, the choirs of Sant Vicent del Raspeig, Novelda, Dénia and Ibi rehearsed four songs, a proposal by each choir, which they would interpret in the trobada of Villena.
Already in Villena the Orfeó de Dénia met with the participating 23 choirs and sang through the streets of the municipality during the morning, and in the afternoon the participating choirs, in groups of four, interpreted the themes they had prepared.
To conclude the meeting, all the choirs - around 1000 voices - interpreted The witch by Ruperto Chapí, Go Pensiero del Nabuco of Verdi and O Fortuna by Carmina Burana by Carl Off.
