The IES Sorts de la Mar de Dénia continues to support Erasmus+ projects

January 17 from 2024 - 10: 46

The IES Sorts de la Mar de Dénia continues its path of internationalization with the Erasmus + Projects. For the third consecutive year, it participates as an accredited center in the Erasmus + Program with an endowment of 34.000 euros.

The actions that are being developed are three. Firstly, a short-term group mobility project that the Department of Music carries out with the Gymnasium an der Gartenstrasse in Mönchengladbach, Germany (Music: the Universal Language of Peace).

This project, where students from Dénia and Möchengladbach will work together on classical scores, will mobilize twelve students and two teachers from the Sorts Philharmonic. Secondly, two observational training mobilities for teachers that have been developed in Gragnano near Naples and Pompeii in Italy, where a project on heritage and gastronomy will be developed next year.

And, as a novelty, the star action of the Erasmus+ Programme: individual long-term training mobilities per student. After a thorough selection process validated by the school's School Council, there are five 1st year high school students from IES Sorts de la Mar who are already enjoying six-week linguistic immersions.

Lucía Ahuir, Tía Kenny, Jonathan Ramírez and Anna Nofuentes will spend six weeks at Le Mans Sur Lycée in Le Mans, France, and Ainara Aledo will spend six weeks at Theodor Heuss Gymnasium in Heilbronn, Germany where they continue their high school studies. Some very enriching experiences to train European citizens.
