The Mayor of Dénia, Vicent Grimalt, The deputy mayor, Rafa Carrió, and the Councilor for Economic Services, Paco Roselló, met this morning at the town hall with a representation of the works council of the Bimbo plant in El Verger and the union section of CCOO to discuss the demands of the staff after the announcement of the closure of the factory and the current situation.
These demands have already been supported by all the groups that make up the Municipal Corporation of Dénia in a motion approved unanimously in the plenary session on January 25, support that the workers' representatives thanked at today's meeting.
At the meeting, the mayor offered to contact the Department of Innovation, Industry, Commerce and Tourism to study joint lines of action between both administrations that support the requests of the staff of the Bimbo plant in El Verger.
They will surely be offered to become kitchen helpers, waiters and waitresses, gardeners or cleaning staff for the number of tourist apartments that are being built in Denia.
There is no other thing or industry that they would deign to promote.
