On Friday, December 2, Club Rem Marina de Denia presented the teams for the 2022-2023 season. The new Mediterranean llaut was also presented with a set of 8 oars that the Dénia City Council has acquired for this club.
The act, held in the Marina Dénia, was attended by Vicent Grimalt, mayor of Dénia, Raúl García, councilor for sports, Josep Estrugo, sports coach of the City Council, Vicent Crespo, councilor and Francisco Pérez - "Paco Tomaca" - honorary president of the Club Rem Marina de Dénia.
This season the rowing club will be represented by two veteran teams, women's and men's, who will compete in the 2022-2023 Fixed Bank Suma Rowing League of the Mediterranean and in the 2023 Spanish Championship.
The club is also part of the “AMUNT team” this season, a boat manned by women who have been affected by breast cancer. This team participates in the solidarity regattas that the Rowing Federation of the Valencian Community organizes to raise awareness about this disease and raise funds for research.
The Club Rem Marina de Dénia for the first time incorporates a leisure team, outside the summer season, with the purpose of teaching and initiating people in the world of rowing and enjoying the sport in a non-competitive way.
