The Dénia Gymnastics Club receives the recognition and congratulations of the City Council to celebrate their achievements

The Mayor of Dénia, Vicent Grimalt, Councilor for Sports, Valen Alcala, and the president of the Club Gimnàstica Dénia, Carina Raso, participated last Friday, September 1, in the reception and in the act of awarding diplomas to the athletes of the club that took place in the Dénia Town Hall. At the reception to congratulate the Dianense athletes, the great successes achieved this season by the gymnasts were also valued.

Dénia and its Gymnastics Club have several triumphs and achievements to celebrate. Denier athletes Marina Galstyan Kelejyan, Ainhoa ​​Abad and Anna María Lebedeva won the rhythmic gymnastics podiums at the Spanish Individual and Autonomies Rhythmic Gymnastics Championship held in Valencia from June 28 to July 2. The mayor and the councilor for Sports presented the diplomas to the champions and congratulated themselves on the victories of the three athletes from the Dianense club.

Marina Galstyan proclaimed herself absolute individual Spanish champion in the juvenile category, and also won the gold medal in the hoop modality and the bronze medal in the hands-free modality. Ainhoa ​​Abad, for her part, proclaimed herself the juvenile Spanish champion in the hands-free modality and the Spanish champion for autonomies with the Valencian Community. Likewise, Anna Maria Lebedeva won the bronze medal with the Valencian Community, in the juvenile category.

Valent Alcalà ratified the support of the Department of Sports to the Dénia Gymnastics Club, highlighting his career and declared: "I know that there have been many tests and the great effort and that the club has an enormous history." The mayor added, "I will be here personally to help you in any way we can, because your magnificent present work is evident and the immense future that awaits you." He also wanted to take the opportunity to congratulate the other girls who have participated in the championship, «showing that you have done an impeccable job. You have achieved very important regional and provincial podiums ». Alcalà congratulated all the gymnasts, encouraging them "to continue dedicating yourself in such a positive and firm way to what you are most passionate about".

The mayor finished his words by adding "I really think that you are a great source of pride for Dénia. Gymnastics is a sport that requires a lot of effort, teamwork, discipline, involvement, and many times sacrifice... but also resilience. And you are growing with these values ​​and representing them in an exemplary way. I have no doubt that a successful career awaits you and many more recognitions. And so I hope. Congratulations and thank you very much.

The mayor, Vicent Grimalt, also congratulated the three champions for the prizes they had won, acknowledging the great successes achieved during this season. In addition to congratulating the rest of the young gymnasts "because you are an example for many girls and boys in our city who play sports and, above all, who enjoy sports", he celebrated their effort and dedication, because "you are an example of what can be achieved when you put a lot of effort into what you do, without losing the sense of friendship, teamwork, camaraderie».

Finally, Vicent Grimalt thanked the work of the Dénia Gymnastics Club, «because we know that you are not only great athletes, but also a great family. And this experience and these successes teach you that with enthusiasm and perseverance you can achieve any goal you set for yourself, both in sports and in life."
