Although Glorieta del País Valencià has been open to the residents of Dénia for some time, there is still a great absence in the center of the city: the new square is still without a fountain. However, it will soon no longer be missed, as the innovative facility that the City Council was looking for will be a reality in the coming months.
The Urban Planning Councilor of Dénia, Maria Josep Ripoll, has confirmed to this newspaper that the contract to commission the installation of the fountain will be published very soon and has advanced its forecasts. According to the mayor, before the summer the Glorieta could be finished by recovering its most characteristic element.
Now, it should be noted that it is not simply a matter of fixing the system that we already knew, but rather it will have a completely new one. The next fountain will have a different set of water than the previous one, much more dynamic and which will also be accompanied by a corresponding set of lights.
This new installation will put the finishing touch to the most ambitious work in the center of Dénia, which has taken longer than expected but which will finally be part of the heart of the city this summer, if the forecast is fulfilled.
