The City of Dénia lowers its debt with banks 9 million euros in three years

August 08 from 2018 - 17: 41

A few days ago the Ministry of Finance of the Government of Spain announced the living debt to 31 of December of the previous year, 2017, of each of the local entities. Live debt is what each entity owes to banks, an amount that in Dénia is 20,3 million euros.

The council of finance, Paco Roselló, has stated that it is about "a considerable improvement with respect to the living debt of 29,32 million euros that the City of Dénia had at the end of 2015". This difference supposes something more of 9 million euros of decrease in the two and a half years to which the date of 31 of December makes reference.

Roselló recalled that the recovery of municipal finances is also reflected in the debt to suppliers at the end of 2017, 1,45 million euros, when the debt in 2015 was 4,01 million euros.
