Dénia City Council will not request credit policies for the first time in twenty years

City Council accounts saneándose seem to go slowly. The council of finance, Vicente Chelet, Welcomes the fact that for the first time in 20 years, Dénia will not apply policies two million euros that have so far been necessary to meet the current expenditure of each annuity.

In the last year, the council has reduced its debt by more than four million euros, being today a debt of EUR 31.289.000, 2008 data similar to the year when the economic crisis began. According Chelet, forecasts suggest that the debt will continue to decline in the coming years thanks "to meet the criteria of sustainability and economic rationality that have been applied in management in recent years and have led the government to reduce the municipal budget from 63 to 46 million euros".

Currently the City has an average period of payment to suppliers 30 days on average, than start counting from the day 30 after submission of the invoice from the vendor to the department intervention. 30 those early days, Chelet explains, for the proper paperwork and these procedures are not computable. Finance Councilman noted that a few months ago the average period of payment to suppliers exceeded 100 days.

Regarding the approval of the budgets for the year 2015, the City is currently negotiating with the owners of the site of Miguel Hernández, who claim the consitorio by judicial requirement that a consignment be consigned in the budgets of 6 million euros with their interests and judicial costs in relation to the expropriation of land for the construction of the second health center.
