The 79% of users of the Day Center had problems with alcohol

During the signing of the agreement between the City and the Foundation for Analysis, Study and Prevention of Addictions of Valencia (AEPA) to manage the Day Center for Drug Addicts in Dénia, they were released data last year.

From these data it is clear that the 79% of the users who attended the center did so demanding a treatment of alcohol addiction, which was the main addiction among the participants of the program, followed by heroin and cannabis. Last year, of the 56 users of the center, 44 received the registration.

Day Care Center for Drug Addicts Denia is managed by AEPA and has 30 places subsidized by the City Council with 31.000 euros. The AEPA allocates funding to help psychologically people with addiction problems, intervene in their social, collaborate in their employment and address specifically the families of center users.

In signing the agreement was attended by the president of AEPA, Francisco José Avendaño, the mayor of Denia, Ana KringeAnd the Councilor for Social Welfare, Pepa Sivera.
