On March 9, one of the most notable mountain endurance competitions in the region took place. Marina Alta: the Benissa Perimeter. This demanding test, in its eleventh edition, offered three modalities: Ultra of 69 km, Marathon of 41 km and Half Marathon of 21 km.
In the Marathon modality, Alvan Salvá, an athlete from Marina El Portet, stood out as one of the notable participants. Salva went to the competition with the purpose of preparing for the next Penyagolosa Trails. Although he faced difficulties at the beginning, he managed to increase his pace starting at kilometer 28, finishing the race in 4 hours and 26 minutes, with positive feelings.
With this outstanding mark, Alvan Salvá secured eleventh position in the general classification and second place in his category, the senior men's category. This result allows him to meet his goal of accumulating kilometers and preparing for his participation in the Mim Penyagolosa Trails, scheduled for April 20, where he will seek to improve his time.
Salva, with his outstanding performance in the Benissa Perimetral, shows that he is on his way to his best shape to face the next challenge in Penyagolosa Trails.
