The Department of Linguistic Normalization and the Department of Equality of the City of Dénia have launched the campaign Valencià per la Igualtat, Which encourages the use of language and equal presence of women in the texts, with the use of a simple, clear and understandable language.
This campaign is editing some posters 10 include recommendations to use equal language especially in the administrative language. In addition, the image campaign designed to decorate a pencil ceramic which contains the most common expressions and some recommendations.
These recommendations are offered to avoid the sexist use of the language in the preparation of local administration texts, but they are generic enough so that they can reach the schools, institutes, companies, associations and other administrations. That is why the material will be distributed through the public spaces of the municipality and educational centers, in addition to being available to the public or entities that want to use it on a personal basis or for related activities.
A total of 28 municipalities throughout Valencia, with Valencia Provincial Council, participated in the campaign.
