This Saturday thousands of people will come to the beach of Dénia to celebrate the night of San Juan with a dinner on the beach and waiting for midnight to arrive the usual rituals of a night like this.
That will be fun time, but for the beaches to return to their normal state and are running normally for Sunday morning, many people will work hard during the night to clean them.
The Environment department directed by Josep Crespo has increased the cleaning staff for that night, from 11 to 26 people. In addition, garbage and glass containers will be installed to facilitate the removal of waste by citizens and the machinery that will be used to clean the beaches will also increase. In 2017, 15 tons of waste were collected from the beaches after the night of San Juan.
Also the Local Police and National Police corps will reinforce their patrols during the night. The Local Police will allocate a total of six patrols that will be mainly concentrated on the sandy beaches, also coordinated with the National Police, which will allocate another three patrols to ensure the safety of neighbors who come to our beaches to celebrate the night of San Juan.
