Dénia wants to consolidate itself as the gastronomic capital of the Region thanks to the "Gastroenamórate" event

In a clear commitment to dianense cuisine as a tourist attraction, for the second consecutive year the council of tourism promotes the weekend "Gastroenamórate", Making our kitchen the perfect excuse to visit Denia.

On the weekend of 19 to 21 in April, 500 visitors are offered free accommodation places with the only condition of eating or dining in three of the establishments adhering to the promotion.

Councilwoman tourism, Pepa Font, And the representative of AETHMA, Reme Cerdà, presented the new edition of this event, which premiered with remarkable acceptance last year and in which they have opted to simplify the message: "Come to Dénia to eat and we invite you to sleep".

Those interested in participating can consult the establishments adhered from the website More. Once you have selected the accommodation you want, you must reserve it by telephone to enter the promotion. Upon arrival at the hotel or apartment they will receive a card that they must have at the establishments they come to eat or dine and deliver it to their departure from the accommodation to comply with the promotion.

This year, like last year, 14 hotels and 5 are participating apartments, while dining and dining establishments have increased to 40. In 19 of them menus will be offered to 15 euros and carte and in 21 of them, menus to 25 euros and letter.

At the end of the promotion, establishments that have received people from the promotion "Gastroenamórate" Will pay an 20% of their corresponding billing to the participants to the lodgings so that the expenses do not fall solely on the hotel establishments.

The Councilor for Tourism, Pepa Font, explained that this event represents a good opportunity to concert Dénia and strengthen the city as a gastronomic reference, consolidating it as the gastronomic capital of the Region of Valencia. He also praised the work of the business sector, closely linked in this initiative and in all proposals that are born from the department.

To promote "Gastroenamórate" 5.000 leaflets will be distributed in tourist offices and participating establishments, taking advantage of the important launching platform which is Holy Week, in which Dénia expects to surpass 75% occupancy.
