The Department of Social Welfare begins this weekend a program of activities designed according to the Local Plan for Children and Adolescents (PLIA), a document that reflects the needs, suggestions and actions proposed by the Local Council for Children and Adolescents.
On the one hand, fulfilling the objective of making Dénia a friendlier environment, which favors experiences that contribute to the full development of children and adolescents, the “Parc habitats” campaign, which combines the demand for leisure activities and free time with the other to live the parks, streets and squares.
"Parcs habitats" will take the weekend from May 14 and 15 organized dynamization in the city's parks. The experience of some educational centers with organized playgrounds has turned out to be a success that, from the different participation groups, has been understood as exportable to parks, squares and streets.
In this way the street gains health: coexistence improves, educational leisure is promoted and life on the street is encouraged.
Likewise, the work of the collaborating associations is made visible, which are, at the moment, those that participated in the activities of the Children's Day celebrated in Torrecremada. However, any city association that wants to selflessly collaborate in this "Inhabited Parks" project and can organize participatory activities of interest to children and adolescents in outdoor spaces can contact Citizen Participation, at the Espai de les Portelles or by email (pciutadana@ayto-denia.es) and join the initiative.
From the organization it is also expected that the activities will be motivating and inspiring for children and young people and even awaken vocations.
On Saturday, May 14, the program includes a dance steps workshop at 20:XNUMX p.m. in Plaça del Consell, led by Clandestino Lindy Hop.
The Association of Artists of the Marina Alta (Adama) organizes a participatory family workshop on Sunday 15, from 11 a.m. to 13 p.m. in Chabàs Park, to which it is recommended to wear 'battle' clothes to participate.
The program will continue at the end of the month with two participatory rehearsals: one by the Marina Alta muixeranga (Saturday, May 28, at 11 a.m. in Calle de la Via) and the other by Dianium Dansa (Sunday, May 29, in 11 a.m., in Plaça de Jaume I).
The second campaign recovers a healthy and widespread custom until not so long ago: 'Let's go to the park!' (picnic in the park). This is an initiative that aims to meet the PLIA objective of organizing activities for the occupation of public space and for the full development of children and adolescents, while also meeting the aspirations of associations to have access to younger population.
In this way, everyone is invited to have a snack and attend the Thursday May 19, at 17:30 p.m., to the Torrecremada gardens. There, volunteers from the Dénia APAD animal protection association will give a workshop explaining the language of dogs and the work of the association. It will be at 18:XNUMX p.m., in the small pipi can.
