The rehabilitation of the old fish market of Dénia move just as planned, and the council has already taken a step further so that it soon becomes the new tourist office in the city.
It is included in the Official Journal of the Region of Valencia on Tuesday, reflecting the consistory Dianense request to the Department of Infrastructure, Planning and the Environment of the concession of the building.
After completion of the rehabilitation work is expected to move there the tourist office, which will probably come into operation next Easter and will house exhibitions and various activities in a multipurpose room.
Currently the building is undergoing rehabilitation through an employment workshop in which students work 24 with a grant of EUR 455.563 the Directorate General of Education and Vocational Training of the Department of Education, Training and Employment.
It is good news to know that the building of the old fish market will be rehabilitated, but the end does not seem the most appropriate. I think it is the ideal place to create the Museum of the Sea. A Tourist Office does not need such a large space to function ………
