Creative City of Gastronomy Dénia

A total of 116 creative cities from all areas will meet, between the 14 and the 16 of September, to share experiences and projects that enrich all the participants. Östersund, like Dénia, is the Creative City of Gastronomy, and it will be its mayor, Ann Sofie Andersson, who will be in charge of opening the meeting, with 250 representatives from the 54 countries that have creative cities.

The annual meeting will focus on defining the activities of the Network, supporting urban policies in favor of culture and creativity, and encouraging collaboration among the members of the Network. It will also be an opportunity to consolidate the Network as a facilitator of the sustainable development in urban environments, in accordance with the Sustainable Urban and Cultural Development Initiative and the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development of the United Nations.

At the Östersund meeting, Creative Cities will present achievements in cultural urban development during various thematic sessions and workshops. The September 15, a workshop on the creative industries will bring together local and regional companies and guests to develop their networks and exchange views in the creation of new businesses.

The Dianense delegation is headed by the mayor and town councilor of tourism, Vicent Grimalt, who has traveled to Sweden today.
