Dénia will allocate almost half a million euros in aid for SMEs and the self-employed

The Dénia City Council, with the collaboration of Creama-Dénia, launches a line of aid aimed at SMEs, micro-SMEs, small self-employed entrepreneurs and professionals, with the aim of minimizing the economic impact of the crisis caused by the invasion of Ukraine by Russia is facing an "indiscriminate rise in prices, operating costs and interest rates" for the sector, as reflected in the regulatory bases of the call.

The call therefore aims to offer an instrument of assistance to SMEs, micro-SMEs, small self-employed entrepreneurs and professionals in the municipality of Dénia who have been forced to suspend their activity or have suffered a reduction in it and, consequently, have reduced their income, while continuing to meet the fixed costs derived from it.

This line of aid is financed by the Provincial Council of Alicante and the Dénia City Council has been assigned the amount of 429.323 euros for the 2023 year.

The maximum aid that the city council will grant per application will be 4.000 euros and the eligible expenses are the self-employed fees, the rent of the premises, the interest on loans for the purchase of premises and 50% of the costs of energy, gas and fuel.

Beneficiary entities will be all those SMEs, micro-SMEs, small self-employed businesses and professionals with tax domicile in the municipality of Dénia that justify that their net performance for the months for which they request the aid - between July 1, 2022 and July 30 June 2023- is equal to or lower than that of the same months in the previous year (2021/2022).

The application submission period begins today, October 11, and ends on October 25, 2023. The processing must be done through the electronic headquarters of the Dénia Town Hall.
