Dénia will allocate 100.000 euros to alleviate the double rise of the IBI between families

05 September 2012 - 00: 00

Dianenses families have already received the scare: the Property Tax has suffered an increase of up to 100 euros, depending on the cadastral value of the house. To make this rise more bearable in times of crisis, the city of Dénia will open, the next 8 in October and until the 31 of the same month, the deadline for requesting a grant that will cover between the 50 and the 100% of the difference of the tax on the most disadvantaged families in the city.

As reported Vicente Chelet, this aid will benefit the groups most affected by the crisis, such as the unemployed, single-parent or single-parent families, retirees, pensioners and families affected by a case of gender violence. In order to access it, an annual income of the family unit less than 41.000 euros will be required. It will also be an essential requirement to be the holder of the tax receipt, be registered at least one year in Dénia, up to date with the payments with the consistory and not have more than one house in the municipality.

The City Council of Dénia will allocate a budget of 100.000 euros for these grants, which will remain in the budgets of 2013.
