Dénia closes seven streets to traffic and accumulates about 100 liters in 8 hours

It starts Thursday in Dénia with some incidents due to the rains. During the night, the rain has been continuous and intense in several areas of the town. From midnight to 8 in the morning, more than 100 liters / m2 have been collected in Santa Llúcia and Jesús Pobre, according to data provided by AVAMET.

This large amount of accumulated water has caused the traffic shutdown, at the moment, of seven streets, as they have reported from the City of Dénia being: Marjal-Melva, Camí del Llavador, Camí Vell de Gandia, Camí fund de la Xara, Marineta, Bot and Plaza Benidorm.

With respect to maximum wind gusts, it has been reached up to 104 kms / h on Joan Chabàs Avenue. The weather situation for the day is expected to continue heavy rains until after noon. Caution is recommended and avoid driving through flood areas or taking the car.

Remember that the entire province of Alicante is on red level alert and school and sports classes have been suspended, as well as activities that took place in the street.

At the moment, the first incidents that occurred in Dénia are of a mild nature: Small water entrances in garages and awnings and posters torn off by air.
