Dénia commitment to public-private partnerships to ensure the economic viability of the Creative City

Mayor and Councilor for Tourism, Vicent GrimaltHe announced that they will bet "for finding formulas of public-private cooperation that guarantee the financial viability of the project, both locally and internationally, proposing the creation of a foundation with participation of the business sector and economic and social agents, among others". It is the way, says Grimalt, of "Strengthen relations between the local administration and the economic agents of the region".

At this first meeting, the City of Denia also announced the creation of the Municipal Office of Innovation and Creativity to carry out the commitments made by Dénia as Creative City of Gastronomy UNESCO. For its operation, the City Council this office will provide the necessary human and technical resources.

Among its functions, the office will handle the action plan presented every four years to UNESCO Dénia, develop brand Dénia, Creative City of Gastronomy, will promote international cooperation and the realization of ethno-gastronomic projects within the Creative Cities Network, will be responsible for the search for funding within the European Union and will establish European and transnational networks for the promotion of tourism, gastronomy and the culture of Dénia and the Marina Alta, among other functions.
