Costas improve the environment Les Rotes after the neighborhood complaints and Town Hall

January 31 from 2013 - 00: 00

The Provincial Coastal Service of Alicante, dependent on the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Environment, has drawn up a report with the 25 actions to be carried out to improve the coastline of Les Rotes.

Last August, the mayor requested that a series of anomalies detected in the accesses to the beaches such as the absence of handrails on stairs leading to the sea or concrete blocks as steps. This request brought together the requests of the Les Rotes neighborhood association and a technical report signed by the Environment area, directed by the councilor Juan Carlos Signes.

Among the actions to be carried out include the installation of railings in numerous access stairs to the sea that currently lack any security element, the replacement of the accesses to the sea made with concrete blocks as a staircase by steps better conditioned or well its elimination for not being safe, as well as the replacement of the hydraulic tile flooring - old terrazzo floor - by non slippery pavement.

To avoid the inconvenience during the tourist season, the works will be carried out in different phases. The first one is scheduled to end before Holy Week.
