After the success of the first edition, the council of mayor of the City of Denia is already working in the second contest for seniors DéniaBaila, to be held next May 5 in the auditorium of the Social Center.
This year, among the novelties, the contest introduces, alongside the dance in pairs, the modalities of individual dance and group choreography with a maximum of 6 components. Participants will be able to choose the style of dance with which to compete, within the categories of Latin dances - salsa, merengue, bachata, chachachá - classics - tango, bolero, foxtrot and pasodoble - and others - rock'n roll, hip- hop or modern dance.
Councilor Elisabet Cardona, remembered during the presentation of this second edition that the only requirement to participate is to have 60 or more years and not be a professional dancer or dancer. The registration period is 6 from November to 15 in December of 2017. The registration form will be collected and delivered completed and signed in the Mayor's office, located on the second floor of the Social Center.
In the month of January he will castin among all the registered to select the 6 participants that will compete in each modality.
the contest DéniaBaila 2018 will be held 5 May 2018, at 20 hours, in the auditorium of the Social Center. The jury of the contest will be formed by professionals from the artistic and socio-cultural world. Participants will be evaluated taking into account criteria such as the variety of dance steps and figures, expressiveness, originality or rapport, charisma and technique.
The basis of the contest, which can be consulted from next week on the web pages of the City of Dénia and Turisme Dénia and on the facebook of the Classrooms of the Third Age of Dénia, establish three prizes, one for each modality, provided by the contest sponsors. Also a diploma of participation will be given to all the contestants.
As was done last year, during the months prior to the competition the selected participants will carry out coexistence activities in the organization of which the Local Board Fallera, the Dénia CdT and the Condado Gastro Show Club room.
