The "XI Mini Olympic Jocs of the Marina Alta" began with the inauguration ceremony that was attended by the General Director of Sports, Mateo Castellá and the municipal authorities of all participating delegations.

As usual the event began with a parade on the track of the municipal sports center of Denia, who led the young band's musical group of Dénia, followed by the Olympic flag and each of the participating delegations.

Later students of the Escola de Teatre Comarcal made a small representation of sports theme. The event continued with an emotional moment as the Olympic oath was made, a referee, a coach and an athlete who served to bring out the nobility and especially the cleanliness of the competition. The three made a commitment to compete and administer justice in the most fair way possible.
