Citizens protest at City Hall spending programs Microsoft and Adobe

May 17 from 2016 - 00: 00

The Councilors of Citizens in the City of Dénia have shown their disagreement with the decision of the government team to invest 90.000 euros in the purchase of licenses from Microsoft and Adobe.

the mayor Sergio Benito He explained that, in their opinion, «existe software libre y gratuito adaptado a las necesidades de la administración», One example LibreOffice.

I find it amazing that students in high school have to use free software without any possibility of using any payment more quality and that the government, which is just another public institution and should be the one to support these measures (and if not , to remove this software in all schools) may not be able to use them.

This is just a clear example of ordering an action and not follow the example of all spending money on something unnecessary.
