Vascular surgeons from across the Community will meet in Dénia during the X Mediterranean Symposium

The city of Dénia hosts the next 8 and 9 in November the X Mediterranean Symposium of Vascular and Endovascular Surgery, the thirty-first scientific meeting of the Valencian Community of Angiology, Vascular and Endovascular Surgery –SCVACVE-.

The meeting, organized by the Department of Health of Dénia, will be held in Baleària Port and will have the presence of vascular surgeons throughout the Valencian Community. The inauguration will be carried out by Juan Cardona, Health Care Director of the Department of Health of Dénia; Encarna Llinares, Territorial Director of the Department of Health in Alicante; Valentín Fernández, President of the Spanish Society of Angiology and Vascular Surgery; Francisco J. Gómez, President of the Society of the Valencian Community of Angiology, Vascular and Endovascular Surgery and Isabel Moya, President of the Official College of Physicians of Alicante.

The latest techniques and procedures of the specialty will be shared at the meeting. The inaugural conference will be given by Alison Halliday, professor of Vascular Surgery at the University of Oxford, who will talk about the current state of carotid trials.

Angiology and Vascular Surgery

It is the medical-surgical spatiality whose objective is the prevention, diagnosis, treatment and monitoring of diseases of the arterial, venous and lymphatic vessels.

At Hospital de Dénia Endovascular treatment of aortic pathology and lower limb ischemia, as well as conventional carotid surgery, vascular access, revascularization of the lower limb and chronic venous insufficiency (varicose veins) are offered.
