Around a hundred athletes belonging to the different Municipal Sports Schools gave a warm welcome to the torch that will preside over the XIII Mini Jocs Esportius Marina Alta, that during the weekend will have Dénia its center of attention.
The party waited in the area of Torrecremada to the torch to move the Olympic fire to the Plaça del Consell, where many neighbors and municipal authorities were waiting. It was a parade where the athletes were relieved to carry the torch.
Once in the Plaça del Consell the last of the relievers handed the torch to the mayor, Vicent Grimalt and the mayor of sports, Vicent Crespo. The councilor addressed those present with a few brief words that were welcoming and structuring the region through sport.
Later, it was the athletes who read the welcome manifesto of a fire that will be accompanying all competitions from this Friday, where the inauguration ceremony will also be held with the parade of all participating delegations and the subsequent lighting of the Olympic cauldron.
