Students and teachers of institutes of Dénia learn to create drones with a social purpose

Air Fair is a proposal that seeks to promote technological empowerment of young students from ESO and Bachiller by building a drone and reflection on technology as a social tool of human activity.

Organized by the Universidad Miguel Hernández de Elche in collaboration with the company outreach specializing in science and innovation Kaleidoscope and the Department of Education of the Ajuntament de Denia, this fair has as an objective that young people between 12 and 18 years learn to build drones with a social purpose.

Accordingly, during this November's near 100 registered teachers are being formed to guide their students in developing a project that will begin with a historical review of models of relations between technology and society. It will continue with an introduction to the theory of flight and finally focus on the design and construction of a drone to be carried out activities of common benefit to the local environment.

The result of all this work can be seen in the month of April 2016 when the more than 50 participating institutes will be invited to present their work in The Air Fair, An event that will take place at the Sports Pavilion of Miguel Hernández University of Elche. Here participants will design and build the stands where the other participants show social and artistic virtues of their flying machines.

In the 2.500 project students from more than 50 institutes in the provinces of Alicante, Murcia, Valencia and Castellon participate. Denia institutes of Secondary Education Maria Ibars, number 3 and Historian chabas involved. The chabas is also based training which will also attend faculty Pedreguer, Xàbia and Benissa.
