It is already season of reductions in the Valencian Community. Until the 1 of September the dianenses will be able to buy in the diverse municipal trades at a cheaper price. Therefore, from the Department of Consumer Affairs have launched a series of tips that allow buyers to guide themselves in the acquisitions they make during this season:
Before buying it is advisable for the consumer to make a list of products necessary to avoid impulsive purchases, as well as compare prices and qualities to ensure a good purchase. In turn they encourage the consumer to be informed about the possibilities of change and return. Given this right of the buyer there is an obligation of the stores to offer it and some restrict it.
In addition, Consumo reminds businesses that products with discounts must follow certain conditions set by the State Law of Retail Trade and the Autonomous Trade Law of the Valencian Community. A discount item is one that is seasonal and that has been included before the sales. In addition, it must have a lower price than the ordinary one. Otherwise, the stores can not refer to the product as a reduced item.
