Socialists complain that Denia doubles in a year its debt with suppliers

The Socialist Group in the city of Denia, through its councilors Elena Tur y Paco Roselló, has denounced that the consistory has doubled its debt with suppliers in the last year.

According to Paco Roselló, «In the first quarter of 2013 the City Council owed 4,5 million to suppliers and now it owes 9,3, therefore, at this rate, before the end of 2014 it will owe 15.000.000 euros, the same as in June 2012, when they put the counter to zero.

For Councilwoman Elena Tur, «existe una manipulación informativa por parte del PP-CU, al querer excusar toda su incompetencia, con el pago de sentencias», since, as he explains, "It is this Government team that has not received what it budgeted at the time, such as the liquidation of the quarry or telephone income."

Socialists go to data from the Ministry of Economy to explain that «Since 2008, the outstanding debt has gone from 24,3 million to 32,4 million, 8 million euros more due to the management of the PP-CU, to which we must add the collection pressure that the citizens of Dénia ».
