Socialists complain that Denia doubles in a year its debt with suppliers

February 01 from 2014 - 00: 00

The Socialist Group in the city of Denia, through its councilors Elena Tur y Paco Roselló, has denounced that the consistory has doubled its debt with suppliers in the last year.

According to Paco Roselló, "In the first quarter of 2013 the City owed 4,5 millions to suppliers and now owes 9,3, so at this rate, before finishing 2014, you will need 15.000.000 euros, just like in June 2012, when you set the counter to zero".

For Councilwoman Elena Tur, "there is an informative manipulation by the PP-CU, wanting to excuse all their incompetence, with the payment of sentences ", since, as he explains, "It is this government team, which has not entered what it budgeted in its day, such as the liquidation of the quarry or the telephone revenues."

Socialists go to data from the Ministry of Economy to explain that "Since 2008, the living debt has gone from 24,3 millions to 32,4 millions, 8 millions more euros due to the management of the PP-CU, to which we must add, the collection pressure that the citizens of Dénia endure".
