Dénia has experienced one of the most anticipated moments of the year with the awards ceremony of the Fallas in the city Hall. Fallas artists have worked throughout the year to create the monuments that adorn the streets of the city and are admired by thousands of people.
The competition has been divided, as every year, into two sections: the First Section, where seven fallas have competed, and the Special Section, in which four have participated. The jury, made up of experts, has evaluated each failure based on criteria of creativity, artistic quality, originality and message, among others.
In the Special Section, the winning falla was Centro, followed by Baix la Mar and Oeste. In the first section, the Darrere fails Castell has been the winner, followed by Saladar and Campaments.
The fallas artists and their teams have worked with dedication and care throughout the year to create these ephemeral works of art, which are admired by thousands of people each year. The prizes awarded are recognition of their talent and effort in the creation of these works that represent the Valencian culture and tradition.
