On Sunday mornings they are again filled with plans for the whole family in Dénia. For the fifteenth year in a row, the councils of Culture, Environment and Linguistic Normalization start the programming of the cycle Activitats Family, that this year proposes a total of 28 activities between the months of October and June.
The circus adds to the cultural proposal
In the section of cultural activities, theater and puppet theater performances have been programmed, with professional Valencian companies and the participation of a group of the city, Tarannà Teatre. There will also be dance and, for the first time, a circus show.
The cultural offer is completed with the concerts that will star the Jove Orquestra de la Marina Alta, the youth band of the Agrupació Artística Musical de Dénia, the students of the Tenor Cortis Conservatory of Dénia and the Colla del Cànter, all formations from Dénia and the region.
In addition, the Archeology and Museums Service has organized five guided tours that will show participants the palace of the Count of Dénia and Duke of Lerma and the church of Santa María and the moat of the Villa, in the castle from Denia; the neighborhood of Baix la Mar and Raset in the times of the Duke of Lerma; the Marineta Cassiana and the history of the collapse of the frigate the Guadalupe in 1799. New excursion to Benicadell
The Department of Environment has coordinated the excursions of the program, which will visit places of scenic and natural interest of Dénia, other populations of the Marina Alta and, as a novelty, the curious route through the natural environment of Carrícola, at the foot of the Benicadell, jalonada of artistic creations integrated into the landscape (April 14). These are pleasant itineraries, of low difficulty, recommended for participants over 6 years.
