After the success of the initiative, the Sports and Tourist Port Marina Dénia and the Hospital San Carlos Office of Dénia have re-launched the pediatric resuscitation workshops. The next one will be held on Wednesday, September 21 in Marina de Dénia. The main objective of these workshops is to instruct the largest possible population in basic cardiopulmonary resuscitation techniques.
The workshop will begin at 18:966 p.m. and, like the previous ones, it will be totally free and aimed at families or people who care for children. The workshop will once again be taught by Dr. Antonia Ivars, who is part of the San Carlos Hospital pediatrics team. “People who attend are concerned about learning basic cardiopulmonary resuscitation techniques and knowing how to act correctly in the event of an accident such as choking or seizure due to possible drowning in beaches or swimming pools. Of course, these are rare situations, but when they do occur, they generate great anxiety in the population”, explained Dr. Ivars.
