Mayor, Vicent Grimalt, signed last week a decree with new measures regarding user access to public facilities and services based on the Generalitat decree on updating measures to limit the permanence of groups of people in public and private spaces and to limit mobility published last Friday in the Official Gazette of the Generalitat Valenciana and as a result of the improvement in the health situation derived from COVID-19. The measures of the Mayor's decree will be in effect from March 1 to March 14.

The main novelty is the reopening to the public, with 50% of the capacity, of the auditorium theater of the Social Center; the reading rooms of the Sant Josep Public Library and of the Rafael Chirbes reading agency in the House of Culture; and the Municipal Archive. The municipal tourist information offices are also open and the programming of cultural activities is resumed, with the capacity limitations set by the health authorities.

As of today, a progressive reopening of the playgrounds will also take place throughout the week, with the appropriate health and safety measures and social distancing. The parks, gardens and outdoor recreation areas will remain open from 6 a.m. to 22 p.m.

Regarding sports facilities, only those open to the open air will open and those covered areas such as pavilions, sports centers, gyms or closed courts will remain closed, except for those that are necessary to hold competitions authorized by the regulations of the Consellería de Sanidad Universal and Public Health. Athletes who have to access closed facilities to compete or train will have to have a certificate from the corresponding federation.

Even so, the suspension of workshops and face-to-face activities for Youth, Classrooms for the Elderly and Artistic activities is extended. And the restrictions on the market on Mondays and the trail on Fridays to Torrecremada also continue to be in force, which establish a 50% reduction in the stops normally authorized, alternating vendors every week while this decree is in force, that is, of the March 1-14.

The mayor has also signed a decree with new organizational and preventive measures for municipal staff, which establishes that, as of Monday, March 1, the activity and face-to-face care will resume in the municipal offices and the face-to-face appointment service is reactivated. , which was suspended due to the worsening of the health crisis last December, except in the Office of Attention to Citizens and Social Services, in those departments that have it in place.
