The team of the Dénia Básquet 03 of the Municipal School of Basketball won one of its most bitter victories of the season by winning the Centro de Tecnificación de Alicante to the Lucentum Foundation by 39 to 41. A triumph that was not enough to overcome the crossing of quarterfinals of 1ª Zonal. The Alicante exceeded in the average to the dianenses in their visit to Joan Fuster pavilion, by beating 34 to 53.
The alternative defenses raised by Felip Aparisi gave a quick advantage to the dianenses that in the second period reached the 16 points that allowed to dream that the comeback was going to be possible after the bad game played in the first leg at home.
The success from the triple in the minutes before the break of the Alicante, with up to four hits, returned the game to equality that would remain despite all our attempts until the end of the game.
With two minutes remaining, the scoreboard gave Lucentum an advantage by five points. In a demonstration of courage, the Aparisi girls not only did not lower their arms but threw the rest on the track. They came back with a triple in the last second of the match and brought back home a victory that is proof that the team was capable of competing at this level.
The experience however as the season has been magnificent and safe will be used by the team to compete much better in an upcoming course that is full of challenges and emotions.
