A delegation travels to Paris to present the candidacy for Creative City of Gastronomy

Before presenting his candidacy, the delegation will meet tomorrow with the Permanent Delegate Ambassador of Spain to UNESCO, Juan Manuel de Barandica and Luxán, and his deputy, José Antonio De Ory, to present the details of the candidacy.

They will then meet with the director of programs in the area of ​​Culture of Unesco responsible for the Network of Creative Cities, Mauro Rosi, who will present the project of the nomination of Denia. The Dianense delagation will be presented by the deputy permanent delegate of Spain to this international organization, De Ory.

It was the past 18 of March when Dénia formalized its candidacy to Creative City of the Gastronomy before the UNESCO and now, after indications of the Permanent Commission of the UNESCO in Spain, it adds to the documentation this visit.

Denia's candidacy is supported by the mayors of the five Creative Cities of Gastronomy in the world - Piabán (Colombia), Chengdu (China), Östersund (Sweden), Jeonju (Korea) and Zahlé (Lebanon) And Seville, the only Spanish city that belongs to the UNESCO Network as Creative City of Music.

They also support the Dianense candidacy Unesco Spain, the majority of representatives of the national hospitality employers and the provinces of Valencia and Alicante, representative associations of the institutional and tourism sector and local associations.

The next 30 in October we will know if finally Dénia achieves its objective and becomes a Creative City of Gastronomy.
