A paradise of slides in Dénia: the next favorite attraction for the little ones is coming

07 October 2023 - 08: 49

What everything indicates will be the favorite recreational area for many boys and girls in Dénia, will soon see the light of day. The slide park, one of the winning proposals from past editions of the Participatory Budgets, specifically that of 2021, is already in the final phases.

Chabàs Park will soon reopen a space that has been closed for several months, to show it with the long-awaited attraction that was requested and supported by citizens in past Participatory Budget campaigns. The slide park, which will border the building in an area that until now was occupied by bio-healthy exercise machines, already has most of the elements in place.

Slides, ropes and mats

This space is different from any other park because it emphasizes the placement of ramps and slides, of all types and for the most and least daring, arranged on a pair of rubber mounds. On this occasion, steps have been dispensed with and to reach the top the boys and girls must climb aided by railings or ropes.

Additionally, the central space is surrounded by several elements not found in other parks in the city, such as swings and rope bridges, what looks like a balance bench, and even a small elastic mat. Several benches have also already been placed to rest in the place.

No date yet

Last December, the work was awarded with a budget of 142.659 euros and a completion period of 3 months. However, problems with access to the material were delaying the work, which was announced for mid-May during a plenary session. Although it is unknown when they will conclude, it seems that in just a few weeks the intervention could be completed.

Brilliant!! A good way to free children from technology during beautiful moments. Nowadays they are born with an iPad and a mobile phone so that they can entertain themselves and not bother some parents. That they enjoy/learn and are attracted to interacting with others

With the usual maintenance that Denia offers to any installation. This park is doomed to abandonment.

Furthermore, anyone who doubts its beauty and that space has been "removed" from a quiet park where one could relax, and that it breaks with all aesthetics, should go and see it with their eyes.

I have nothing to say about the park. I see that some find it enviable and others find it fatal. So opinions are divided.
What it seems to me is that this article is in line with others that seem to be an errand boy from the city council to apologize for the delay in the work, as already happened with the roundabout, the expansion of the skate park and other things.
Is this DÉNIA.com an MI newsletter?
That's apart from the fact that all political news is directed towards the same trend.
    It's a shame it's not more objective.

Truly aberrant, what a way to destroy a park. My congratulations to the thinking head that is destroying all of Denia.

The park was already good, now I don't know what it looks like. Because what we generate is more or less good. They end up destroying it. Weren't there more places?

    Looks fantastic!

I wish Javea center had something like this. Their children's facilities/play areas are awful, abandoned and nonexistent.
