Bética rock creates the first postage stamp with the image of Dénia

04 December 2014 - 00: 00

La Peña Bética Cultural Dianense celebrated its 10th anniversary with the original initiative to create a postage stamp commemorating such an event. Raquel Nuñez and Nuria Alonso have been the designers of it, with the invaluable help of José Ivars, president of the Philatelic Association of Calpe.

The stamp, besides including the image of the shield of the Real Betis Balompié, reflects the most important symbols of the city: the castle, the port and the Montgó. This is the first Post Office stamp in which the image of the city appears.

The stamp was presented during the dinner tribute to women who celebrate every year at their headquarters.

Its sale is made exclusively through Peña Bética Cultural Dianense. Whoever wants to acquire it, can contact them through Facebook that has the Peña bética Dénia or at its headquarters in the street Barbacana, 1.
