La Peña Bética Cultural Dianense celebrated its 10th anniversary with the original initiative to create a postage stamp commemorating such an event. Raquel Nuñez and Nuria Alonso have been the designers of it, with the invaluable help of José Ivars, president of the Philatelic Association of Calpe.
The stamp, in addition to including the image of the Real Betis Balompié shield, reflects the most important symbols of the city: the castle, the port and the Montgo. It is the first postage stamp on which the image of the city appears.
The stamp was presented during the dinner tribute to women who celebrate every year at their headquarters.
