4 months have passed without deaths with coronavirus in Dénia

August 28 from 2020 - 23: 57

La Marina Alta, especially Dénia, is suffering the worst wave of coronavirus since the start of the pandemic. On Friday, again, the numbers of infections suffered a worrying increase. It was, without a doubt, the worst day since the pandemic began. However, not all the data is bad, since the number of positive deaths in COVID-19 remains without new cases from April 28 until this last update on August 28.

Although it is undeniable that the Marina Alta has worse data on coronavirus infections than ever, it is true that at the moment they are not being lethal cases. The reasons can be many, from earlier detection and better tracking to a possible mutation that causes you to lose viral load.

Some experts also point out the average age of the infections, which has dropped a lot compared to the spring months where it affected numerous Spanish residences. Now, a large part of the infections are suffered by young people who, supposedly, are more resistant to the effects of COVID-19.

Be that as it may, the truth is that in 4 months we have not had to regret any death due to the coronavirus, so the Dénia Health Department remains, today, Friday, with 19 positive deaths in PCR.

So, let me summarize this article: In La Mariana Alta there were 19 deaths from / with COVID and there were no deaths in the last 4 months, that is, in May, June, July and August. Even so the tourist season in the Marina Alta in the same 4 months is destroyed. Are these measurements proportionate? Is this professional? Is this the way to run an economy? Or is it just incompetence? In that case, heads must roll and the courts must be busy.
