El Real Club Nautico Denia is preparing to celebrate during the next days 7 and 8 of October the "XXI Canal Cup". A regatta created from some archaeological finds underwater that demonstrated the trade between the Islas Pitiusas and Dénia.
This is a 56 mile height competition that takes place in the waters of the Mediterranean Sea, included in the calendar of the Royal Spanish Sailing Federation and scoring for the Spanish Championship of Mediterranean Zone Height in ORC. The event is organized by the Royal Yacht Club of Denia with the collaboration of the Nautical Club San Antonio "Es Náutic", the Ayuntamiendo de Dénia, the Sailing Federation of the Valencian Community and the Balearic Sailing Federation.
From today, the city of Dénia will receive the participating sailors, who will leave the 7 day of October at 11 hours in the waters of Denia. 25 boats that if the forecasts are good, the first ones should arrive first thing in the evening, for the celebration and delivery of trophies that will be the Sunday at 14 hours in "Es Nàutic" of Sant Antoni del Portmany.
