Dénia inaugurates a pump track in the park that stands in front of the IES Sorts de la Mar. This intrepid circuit, designed for BMX bicycles, skates and skateboards, extends over an area of approximately 410 m², promising to be the epicenter of adrenaline for fans of extreme sports in a city that for the first time has a space for this sport.
The genesis of this installation emerges as a bold proposal gestated by the young people of the municipality, catalyzed by the Consell de la Infància i l'Adolescència and supported by the residents after its inclusion in the Participatory Budgets. This marriage of youthful enthusiasm and neighborhood commitment culminated in the allocation of funds to materialize this project.
The sports enclave, strategically located next to the IES Sorts de la Mar, will share space with the skatepark installed a few meters away and whose wooden ramps caused conflicts, presumably already resolved, between the residents of the area and the local administration due to the noise it generated .
The park in front of Sorts de la Mar promises to become an epicenter for Dianense youth, not only providing a space for exploration and physical challenge, but also encouraging social cohesion and the promotion of an active lifestyle.
It is a pity that adjacent streets do not have public lighting to the end, the sidewalks full of vegetation and the vehicles parked in dangerous curves. Some large urbanization does not have lighting to access from Assagador de la Marjal. Totally agree with Ruben's comment
Someone explain to me why this encourages social cohesion. If before there was already a park there for children of all ages and parents and children already enjoyed that area. Now that area is biased for those who want to use the track. And destined to be forgotten by fashion without roots, after a few years, like all these tracks, full of defacement, separated from society, and completely disused after non-existent maintenance.
