The total sales made in the Portal de la Marina shopping center, between January and February 2015, have represented an increase of more than 12% compared to the same period of the previous year. The positive evolution has also been reflected in the 6,7% increase in the influx of visitors in these same months. The complex is located in an area of commercial influence that includes some 216.000 inhabitants.
Portal de la Marina reported that the increase in sales contributed two key factors: the sales campaign, which led to an increase in sales in sectors like fashion (up to + 34%), home (up to + 19%) or aesthetics (up to + 60%), and the largest number of participants in various marketing campaigns that have been made, among which is seeking to recruit a personal shopper for a year or sponsoring a sports circuit .
The company also noted that growth has taken place following the acquisition of 58,75% of the units of the complex by the listed REIT (REIT) Real Estate Lar Spain last October 10. After buying the company strengthened its collaboration with Grupo Lar, a company that owns, through its subsidiary HRE Investments BV, the 42% of the capital of the company Maritime Puerta de Ondara SL, owner of the Portal de la Marina Shopping Center.
