Podem Dénia requests a promotion of packaging recycling before the announcement of the new garbage rate
Podem Dénia has issued a statement in which it expresses its total disagreement with the 20% increase in the urban waste collection rate.
"We think that in the new urban waste collection contract what has to be done is to encourage the recycling of containers and that instead of raising taxes on the citizens of Dénia, Law Proposition 122/000023 presented in the Congress of Deputies on July 16, 2019, for the reduction of single-use plastics. Thus, instead of paying for it, see the viability of putting machines that return money for the return of packaging ".
From the purple formation they point out that "It would be a good time for both the mayor and the councilors to lower their salary, because we are all suffering this crisis and if it seemed wrong to us that the first thing they did after the municipal elections was to raise their salary, so they could amend what was done and give a little example ".
